Safe Travel With Batteries:

The U.S. Department of Transportation has new rules which took effect on January 1, 2008, that prohibit airline passengers from packing spare lithium metal (non-rechargeable) batteries and lithium ion rechargeable batteries in checked baggage but allow travelers to bring spare batteries (with some limitations) in carry-on luggage. Click the link below for more information:

As you evaluate these instructions as they pertain to your travel with batteries by Fujitsu Computer Systems Corporation ("FCS") for its mobile computers, please note:

  • FCS does not use Lithium metal in the main/bay batteries
  • FCS main/bay batteries do not contain over 8g/pack lithium

Memory Assurance: In June 2004, Hewlett Packard announced that it had identified a memory module design flaw in some of its HP and Compaq notebook products. Although Fujitsu Computer Systems has received no customer complaints about the memory issue HP experienced, we have repeated our QA test on products using the same chipset. No failures were detected. In addition, Fujitsu has contacted our memory module vendors, and we have received assurances that the products they supplied to us are not affected. Fujitsu products undergo thorough performance and quality tests. Fujitsu customers can be assured that Fujitsu products are not affected by this problem.
